Born in 2007, this race reminds the mix of motor sports.
It is in 2 sessions lasting 30 minutes each one, one is on Saturday and the other one on Sunday. On the start grid 40 bikes are springing out not only for winning but also for the pleasure of riding.
For the organisers, the Défi Motos is a prelude to a future bike endurance which is on the planning stage.
This bike race organised for the 2nd time within the context of the 12 Hours of Pont de Vaux will welcome as a guest star, the Pro MX rider Pierrick Paget, official Yamaha Motor France since 2005. He is only 31 but his winning list is impressive.
Between 1996 and 2005, he gets 144 points at the World championship, takes part to the GP 125cc, 250cc, 500cc, fights for several national titles in France and also in foreign countries ! Suisse, Belgique, Allemagne, Italy, USA, Canada.
The Enduro du Touquet one of the hardest races in the World is his race of reference (3 consecutive podiums 2006, 207, 2008).
For this year, he is managing a team at the Championship of France Minivert. Except for the Defi Motos, he will also enter the endurance race of Fort Mahon in October in order to train before the next race Enduro du Touquet in 2009 .

Blue cloud
One of the bedrocks of the 12 Hours, Didier Janaudy called «Nuage Bleu» (blue cloud) put away his 4 wheels and is entering the Defi Motos. From the region (he lives in St Sulpice near Montrevel en Bresse) since 15 years he had never missed the Mondial du Quad and he has decided to race with a 360 Husqvarna of 1994 : «I didn’t feel enough motivated to prepare my old 450 Honda TRX on which we raced for 4 years. Moreover one of my knees hurts me and I’m not sure that I could stand up 12 hours». His pal, Philippe Laurent from Confrançon (01) who has always been Didier’s teammate, has also decided to enter the Defi. Do you know the machine ? A 360 Husqvarna !
