A piece of meadow alongside the river. Along the canal, fishmen are doing a bit of fishing. The village is not far with its pleasure port and its shops...

At the beginning were the ATC (also called Trikes), frenzy on 3 wheels, unsteady but so funny to ride. They were a great number from the first race organised in Pont de Vaux.
Quickly other machines appeared on the meadow, with 4 wheels this time. More steady and also much more efficient, the performances are quickly getting better.

With its long straight lines for an absolute speed, Pont de Vaux obliges makers to elaborate engines quick enough but also very tough able to make short work of about ten rounds without any problem hoping to stand out and win.

Frames are lighter, more solid as well as suspension have progressed; the best can prove their skill and efficacy passing on the bump. Speeds when passing the bends have also leapt forward. Gapped to the track, quads absorb all the traps of a layout very quickly destroyed by about 120 machines in race. To hurl himself into the attack of the following bend, the pilote speeds up and the power transmitted to the back wheels already propels the machine to the following enfilade.

The three Le Mans-type starts divide 12 hours race spread over 48 hours of a non stop intensity. Start : with flag by day, with gun shot by night 120 quads amongst the best of the planet are released together.
A village of more than 2000 persons is stirring, breathes with the rhythm of refuelling. On the notice board, the round by round is translated in all languages. Only one line of action ...the trajectory, for these united pilots. A same slogan for everybody, step on the gas.

Sure since 1987 the event has changed. Going from the 12 Hours of Pont de Vaux to Mondial du Quad is not a strategic deal but a reality. At the sport level the queen of the races 12 Hours is now famous all around the World and being titled in Pont de Vaux is considered as a World championship.
But at the same time, the circuit is welcoming a real international quad festival with the PDV Quad Contest, a 2 hours amateurs race, the Défi Motos two wheels are coming to test the mythical circuit of Pont de Vaux and the QuadExpo, the international quad exhibition located in the heart of the circuit. To this you have to add all the activities in town, on the circuit. Since 20 years, it's 3 days of real mechanic madness which takes place on the meadow of Bresse !

Each year the technical level is raised because of the hard competition between the teams coming from the whole world. Podium of dream, dreamt podium and... thanks to you the team.
