Here are the pics of the new 2010 track, more jumps, more technical, for several levels of riding. More curves, more heightend double pathe curves. A new track, more spectacular and modern, reworked and updated by "The" French specialist Jean Luc Fouchet and his staff JLFO Organisation.
With the arrival of the bike in the arena of Pont de Vaux, the deal is changing... whereas the Worldwide quad riders love and enjoy the famous track the crossmen and enduromen as for them, skilled or even amateurs, are looking for the little "plus" which makes them prefer such part of the track, a difference in height, a nice curve.
Pierrick Paget, full athlete even if is among the best French riders appreciates a lot the meadow which lap after lap makes him feel the pleasant coolness of the grass.
Some like Joachim and Elie Pittraye, "Sima" riders in 2009 will remember for a long time how they have slammed on the brakes as never... ! at the end of the straight line of the pits (shorter than the one for the quads).
Other will have enjoyed the short part, "just a little supermot" where the trajectories are cut each other.

Mickaël Pichon said YES to Pont de Vaux
That's official, Mickaël Pichon will signed again for the 2nd edition of the 6 Hours Motos !
Because of his injury, Pascal Leuret his last year teammate won't race again. However "Rocket Pichon" the twice World Moto Cross Champion will be helped by a top rider : Thierry "Boum Boum" Bethys.
Both riders among the French most titled champions are recording many victories and podiums.
At 39, Thierry Bethys from the Vendée records a long prizes list.
At only 14 he was Champion of France with a 80 cm3, from then many victories and titles are on his credit.
He was successively crowned European Moto Cross and Super Cross champion, he won the MX3 World championship, all-rounder he successfully raced in Rallye Raid with many participation in the Dakar (8th in 2007) and sand races (3 victories at Le Touquet).
Both are official Honda riders, the "Red" have indeed raised the stakes for PDV 2010

BMW Recchia Motos Lyoun won't take part to the 6 Heures Motos
This year, Raphaël Recchia had to postpone his entry because of his seasonal activities which take him too much time.
There's a little chance to see this nice German bike at the 2nd edition of the 6 Hours.
What a pity ! This bike is so powerful and shows its strength in the Ralye Raid and most of the special races all over the World.

A look back to the PDV Events press meeting
Many thanks to all the journalists who have attended the meeting. And also many thanks to all the sponsors we had the pleasure to welcome on the boat.
12 months working for the promoters of this double Summer event which will gather the top riders of the World and the week after... some of the biggest names of the World Moto Cross.
A quick summary of the great moments of the 2009 edition, Jean Michel Abfalter, the big winner as well as his young rider Sébastien Cornier came to present his Team Race 2010.
Many thanks to Goes Europe for having put at our disposal 2 Zero Motorcycles bikes. The riders present at the meeting could test them ! Thierry Viardot, Fabien Rousseau, Patrice Castellano (he presented us the common plan "Cross 50" he shared with Suzuki and Valenti).
A very nice opportunity for all the riders, journalists, and those who are preparing the machines to test the potential and the promises of those machines on the track.

Bike-Design join the 6 heures
Dirk Geerinck, the boss of Bike-Design, a specialist in the motorcycle distribution and well-known in the Benelux has taken an interest in the bike endurance of Pont de Vaux from the very beginning.
This great amateur of riding ( he steps on the gas during the week end with a Triumph Speed Triple but with also a Husaberg 450) was present from the 1st edition of the 6 Hours bike in 2009.
Despite Dirk broke one leg just before the race to take his place, he sent a team made of 3 Belgian journalists with a gorgeous Swedish bike in order to try this new all terrain endurance.
If Dirk wants to take part in August he won't be alone...
Recentyl in the USA he has found a new revolutionnary equipment for all the riders. He's the dealer for Europa and also supplies the Formula 1 riders : The HyperKewl.
A very light textile, worn underneath the crossman dress. With a soaking in cool water (1 or 2 minutes) , the micro-porous fibres will keep a cool temperature during 6 hours racing. The body's temperature cools down by 10 to 15 degrees.
Great World MX riders have tested these textiles underneath their cross dress and were very enthusiastic. The hydrophilic jacket will be also very useful on the road.

Le Touquet 2010
The famous Enduropale/Quaduro du Touquet Pas de Calais will take place on Le Touquet beach within the next few days.
On Friday 5th at 7.00 pm the PDVRacing team will be pleased to welcome you at a meeting point under the Kenny-Racing's canopy, their partner. They will present the Summer 2010 events :
the 24th Maxxis Mondial du Quad - August 20th, 21st and 22nd
the 2nd Maxxis Pont de Vaux 6 Heures Motos, the great comeback of the bike endurance, on August 28th and 29th.
Any question will be welcome and in particular concerning the development of the 6 hours towards a great 12 hours or even... 24 hours classic endurance . Despite the crisis, a great part of the all terrain world, the promoters, the persons acting for the development of sport and green leisures are waiting for it !
At the end of the presentation, you will be cordially invited to a reception on site.

The first is encouraging :
the riders, the public
and great entertainement...
From the beginning the organisers were not very ambitious as for this
1st edition of the 6 Hours Bike. The first target was to organize this
new dirt bike endurance on the track of the 12 Hours Quad in order
to convince the bikers of the practicality of the track, to make them
discover the real specificity of the track of PDV shaped for speed on
ground and also to make a nice show for the public. The challenge
seems to be a success !
Here are some figures very encouraging for the organisers :
- 5 big sponsors for this first event with the Maxxis Trophy, Scorpion,
Cardy, Sunimport and Moto Marché
- 66 riders from all France and Belgium
- 2500 to 3000 visitors came to take part to the event
- 12 journalists from several countries have replied to our invitation.

- What do you think about this first
edition ?
- I’m satisfied. As for the organisation
the staff was there. The public was
very interested and enjoyed a lot the
show. More space in the circuit which
allowed a better following of the riders
and the race ... Only one regret for the
few number of teams on the starting
line for this first edition, but it’s obvious
that in the future that will work by word
of mouth.
- As for your plans of development
are they still current ?
- Our plans will be collectively decided
not only the date (July, August, end of
September ...) but also the length (6h,
8h or more ...). It seems obvious that
the race will also be by night since
the track is equipped with all the elec-
tric fittings. However before making a
conclusion concerning these plans we
need the first financial results of this
first bike race coupled with the Mon-
dial du Quad.
In fact, it’s a new event which will only
need to grow within the 2 or 3 coming
years. But today, the real challenge for
the organisers is to find the best solu-
tions between all the possibilities ...
